OCP Amendment Application - Bylaw No. 2282 - Wise Creek Developments Ltd. - R-MF to R-SF and P & P to R-SF for Development of 6 New Single Family Lots - 1946 Broadway Avenue South
 
Take notice that the Council of the City of Williams Lake on Tuesday, July 24th, 2018 at 5:00 PM, will hold a Public Consultation Meeting in the Council Chambers at 450 Mart Street, to provide an opportunity for any member of the public and/or organization to review an application to amend the City of Williams Lake Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 2140, 2011. 

The applicant, Wise Creek Developments Ltd., requests a change in the land use designation from Residential - Multifamily to Residential-Single Family and Parks and Conservation for part of the property located at for the property located at 1946 Broadway Avenue South to facilitate development of 6 new single-family lots. Additionally, the applicant is requesting a change in the land use designation from Parks and Conservation to Single-Family Residential for part of the City Park abutting 1946 Broadway Avenue South (see attached map). The proposed development will include boundary adjustment and a net decrease in the size of the City Park (refer to attached map). The City Park is currently used as a storm retention pond and as such, it is not used as an active recreation park. The park boundary adjustment will add a portion on the eastern corner that could be used for pedestrian pathway.

At the commencement of the meeting, the Applicant will provide an overview of the proposal and there will then be an opportunity for Council and members of the public to ask questions of the applicant regarding the proposal.

This Public Consultation Meeting is held in compliance with Section 475 of the Local Government Act and is in addition to a Public Hearing on the same matter, to be held at a future date, which will be separately advertised.

Zoning Amendment Application - Bylaw No. 2281 - Platform Properties Ltd. - Adds "Beer and Wine Store" Use - 1185 Prosperity Way (Prosperity Ridge Shopping Centre
 
Take notice that the Council of the City of Williams Lake on Tuesday, August 14th, 2018 at 7:00 PM, will hold a Public Hearing in the Council Chambers at 450 Mart Street, to hear all persons interested in supporting or objecting to Williams Lake Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 2281, 2018 being a Bylaw of the City of Williams Lake to amend the "Williams Lake Zoning Bylaw No. 1825, 2002".

The purpose of Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 2281 is to add "Beer and Wine Store" as a Permitted Use under Division 326O.1 of the Comprehensive Development 15 (CD-15) Zone to allow for the operation of a beer and wine store on the subject property, located at 1185 Prosperity Way, and legally identified as Lot 3, District Lots 7046, 7047 and 8836, Cariboo District, Plan BCP38739.
