Biography
Sheila was raised in Williams Lake and has lived here for the majority of her life. After going away for school, she returned to her hometown and married Mike, choosing to stay in Williams Lake to raise their three children Austin, Nathan and Emma. As a family they have always enjoyed all the Cariboo has to offer - mountain biking, downhill skiing and camping to name only a few.
Sheila has been operating her chiropractic clinic in Williams Lake for over 20 years as a sole proprietor after graduating from CMCC in 2001. Prior to becoming a chiropractor, Dr. Boehm worked as a Registered Nurse for eight years, including at the Cariboo Memorial Hospital, graduating in 1993 and obtaining her BSN degree from the University of Victoria in 1996.
After serving her first term as a City Councillor, Sheila is honoured to be re-elected to her second term to serve her hometown and be a voice for the community. Prior to being elected to City of Williams Lake Council, she also served two terms as a school trustee.
Sheila is hoping to focus on housing, health care including the opioid crisis, and homelessness and what the City can do to manage these concerns locally and provincially. Sheila is a strong advocate for Williams Lake and the Cariboo, and strives to let everyone know that the Cariboo is THE place to live work and play.
