Pay on-line by Interac e-Transfer

Make payments to the City, for example pay your Bylaw Ticket or pay to renew your licenses, online using  Interac

All you need is access to online or mobile banking offering Interac e-Transfer.

How to make payment?

  • Sign onto your online banking account and select the “Interac e-Transfer” navigation link
  • Enter recipient name: City of Williams Lake
  • Enter recipient email address
  • Enter the amount you would like to pay
  • In the message box enter information about your payment (we need to know who is paying and what payment is for - for example, enter the Bylaw ticket number or information about your license and make sure the number / information is correct – you do not want to pay for somebody else. You may want to provide your e-mail address as well (optional), just in case you require a receipt e-mailed to you or in case we need to contact you about the payment.)
  • Security question – What am I paying?

The City staff will accept your payment and e-mail you the receipt within several business days.

Pay on-line through Online Banking

You may pay Taxes, Utilities, Accounts Receivable, Business License on-line through your financial institution.

  • Log on to your financial institution and add payee
  • Search for ‘Williams Lake’ and select ‘Williams Lake‘ (sometimes ‘City of‘ is added, depending on the financial institution) plus an option what you would like to pay - Taxes, Utilities, Accounts Receivable, Business Licenses
  • For Taxes - use the folio (or roll number) on the front of your Property Tax Notice as the account number, if asked for 10 digits, just add 0s at the front
  • For other payments - use the appropriate account number with the City
  • You may even choose a convenient payment date and set recurring payment amount
