City of Williams Lake Council Meeting Procedures
The City of Williams Lake continues to monitor the evolving COVID-19 pandemic situation, and remains committed to protecting the safety and security of our community.
The Regular Council Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at 6:00 pm will convene with appropriate health and safety measures strictly in place. Consideration was given to reasonable service delivery, and the meeting will only be accessible to the public through the live streaming feed, or via phone during the public input portion of the meeting. Mayor Cobb will be joined by one Council member, with the remainder of Council attending via teleconference to ensure the meeting meets the requirements set out by Community Charter and the Council Procedures Bylaw. Strict sanitation and personal distancing measures will be adhered to.
Should members of the public wish to participate in the public input portion of the meeting, they are asked to email corporateservices@williamslake.ca or call 250-392-2311 and provide a phone number so they may join that portion of the meeting via phone.
Future Council meetings will be scheduled on an as-needed basis, and will be conducted mainly through teleconference, with live streaming provided wherever possible. To access live-streamed meetings, visit the City’s website at www.williamslake.ca, click on “Council Meetings Portal” then click on the Live Stream button.
We thank our community for your ongoing understanding during these uncertain times.
The City will update its residents as soon as any developments occur. For up-to-date information regarding the local response to the COVID-19 situation, with relevant links to current information, visit www.williamslake.ca/COVID-19
